Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue
A true trailblazer and a tireless and highly respected leader, we will always remember remarkable Dr O’Donoghue’s contribution to the advancement of the rights and interests of First Nations peoples in Australia, gratefully acknowledging the crucial role she played during some of the most historic moments in modern Aboriginal affairs; including the 1967 Referendum; the Native Title legislation in 1993; and the National Apology to the Stolen Generations in 2008.
Forever a guiding light we offer our sincere condolences to Dr O’Donoghue’s family and friends.
