The NNTC has completed a number of Regional Forums for native title groups around the country.  The first round of the forums was a valuable opportunity for PBCs to hear from government about the support and resources available to PBCs and native title organisations.  Presentations and discussion centred on the work of the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA), the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC), the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation and Indigenous Business Australia.

With COVID restrictions now easing the NNTC is commencing a second round of forums, with the first one being held in Central Australia on 1-3 June and hosted by the Central Land Council.

The focus for the second round of forums will be on opportunities for native title groups to collaborate across regions and develop their own frameworks for engagement with government.

The forums provide a wonderful opportunity for PBCs to network with colleagues and discuss areas of concern with government representatives.  The NNTC and native title representative bodies and service providers will send out notices about these workshops once dates and locations have been secured in your region.
