Registrations are now open for the Indigenous Cultural Heritage Conference 2020 (ICHC). The conference, co-organised by the NNTC, the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Council and the University of Melbourne, takes place 24-26 November in Melbourne.
The theme is Taking Control and the conference is a chance to discuss ideas and strategies for Traditional Owners to take back control of their heritage and culture- sacred objects, ancestral remains and intangible heritage. The conference is open to all Traditional Owners and their allies, and anyone interested in the management, protection and repatriation of Indigenous cultural heritage. International speakers include Edward Halealoha Ayau from Hawaii and Professor Merata Kawharu from New Zealand.
